ENGAGEMENT

COLLABORATION >

Lack of cohesion within a working environment is certain to result in unnecessary stress and tension among coworkers. Since individual employees possess their own values and beliefs, it can take time for each team member to develop trusting relationships.

Ruth works with a series of interactive tools derived from her theatre background that explore the essence of each person, so that they are better equipped to act more authentically, autonomously and intuitively within their team.

By establishing this level of trust within a team, members can

now listen from a place of possibility rather than fear, collaborate and understand the different communication styles at play to cultivate and ignite interpersonal connections and build long lasting, successful relationships.

Among the most important factors in constructing group cohesion within a workplace is trust.

Since individual employees possess their own values and beliefs, it can take time for each team member to develop trusting relationships with other co-workers.

Once trust is established, an employee is better able to focus on their individual tasks and trust that other employees abide by similar standards.

COLLABORATION CASE STUDY

Ruth was asked to facilitate a series of engagements with 2 different teams who had recently been through a divisional restructure and were now required to operate as a single business unit. One of the teams had an existing reporting line to the Regional Executive, whilst the other team had ‘history’ with this same executive. As a result there were 2 very definite ‘factions’.

Through a series of creatively guided exercises the individuals were given tools to engage more authentically, to see beyond judgment and stereotype and to focus on the essence and authenticity of an individual as a means to engage in meaningful communication and create authentic relationships based on mutual trust.

“Thank you very much for everything you taught us. These really are tools that I can use in any situation or relationship and today I won’t forget quickly. Again thank you very much!”  Ophia Pretorius – Finance Director

“Ruth facilitates in an emotionally astute manner!” Patrick Louw – Financial Director
